Experience that translates into excellence
Since its inception in 1986, PDC has found its reputation on reliable and consistent laboratory testing and services, a simple strategy that contributed significantly to our client’s satisfaction in the last 30 years. In all our surveys, clients regularly rate PDC highly and respond with their willingness to recommend PDC to others.
Aided by cutting edge infrastructure
PDC’s comprehensive clinical pathology test menu includes areas of Hematology, Clinical Biochemistry, Serology and Microbiology. PDC works seven days a week /365 days a year including Sundays, processing more than 500 samples per day.
PDC is equipped with instruments manufactured by world class diagnostic instrument manufactures. We also use advance instrumentation and automated systems in sample registration, tracking and retrieving of test results.
A dynamic commitment to Quality
Quality is of utmost importance at PDC. Through constant monitoring and with a focus on continual improvement, PDC ensures that clients are satisfied with the service they receive.
To achieve and maintain high standards, PDC’s quality assurance program monitors several key indicators. Each batch of test results in a day are released only after performing the control tests with Internal Quality control samples. The overall performance of the tests are assessed every month by National and International External Quality Assurance System (EQAS). These help us to address the quality of PDC’s assays, as well as pre and post analytical aspects of testing.
PDC views quality assurance as the natural keystone to continuous improvement. By using the data generated by QA indicators, combined with internal and external customer needs assessments, our dynamic quality improvement program uses client and employee involvement to improve critical processes. The goal is to define and meet the needs of PDC’s complex customer base.
Reporting – Easy & Error free
Due to our stringent supervision and controls reports have a high degree of accuracy and promptness. Three levels of authorisation also make sure that the reports have minimal errors. Priya Diagnostic Centre is also made collecting reports easier with an online option. This ensures quick turn around time and easy accessibility.
Most of the errors affecting laboratory test results occur in pre analytical phase, primarily because of the difficulty in achieving standardized procedures for sample collection. PDC has put in an effective sample management procedure and a well-designed pre analytical system to detect and eliminate possible errors.
- Well trained data entry operators carry out the registration of patients using the lab management system where a patient is registered/billed within 10 seconds and assigned an SID no.(Sample Identification Number).
- The data entry is done under supervision to ensure minimal error in the registration of sample details.
- After completion of registration, a specific bar code carrying the SID for the patient’s sample is generated.
- The generated bar code label containing the patient’s name, date and time of collection and type of test is stuck on the sample container. Through this procedure we eliminate the chances of wrong labelling.
- We try to make the sample collection a trouble free and stress free procedure
- We have separate sample segregation area where all the collected samples are placed and then taken for their respective tests.
- The tests are performed manually, semi-automatically or automatically based on the tests ordered. Our system helps the scanner to read the barcode on the sample, decode the results, and then transfer it to the system. The results are then formatted into reports.
- All reports undergo three levels of authorization before selected for printing
- The reports are then made available online or kept ready at our facility for collection.
